Singgahsana Resepi

Located at Jalan Pantai (Seremban – Jelebu), Singgahsana Resepi (recipe) is newly opened restaurant worth to try to.

Spacious car park are available although I’m not sure that it is belong to the restaurant or not.

If you can see there’re car wash and Petronas station nearby for those who wish to wash their car while enjoying the meal or pump their gas after eating.

There’re also fruit stall here if you want to take home some tropical fruit.

And here are the menu. There are western and asian cuisine to be pick. FYI, western food also served here as early as noon rather than after 3 pm like other restaurant.

Showcase 1 Daerah 1 Industri

Organized by Ministry of International Trade and Industry, this showcase is perhaps the best hub to promote entrepreneurs products and services. It also held in order to expose the potential and quality of 1 Daerah 1 Industri / 1 District 1 Industry (SDSI) products and to create business chain between entrepreneur and traders.

The central zone showcase is the 1st of the year and will be followed by Sabah / Sarawak showcase on July and national showcase at the end of the year.

Homestay

1. Bengkinang Homestay

Located in Kampung Tapak, Kuala Pilah, this homestay is famous for the local youths’ presentation of Randai, Rentak Kuda, Cak Lempong as well as traditional dancers. These are complimented by the ‘Tarian Sewang’ presented by the Aboriginal community. Visitors have the ‘Panglima Manggis’ floating stage. Visitors have the opportunity to participate in the traditional games of ‘Kelereng’, ‘Tarik Upih’ or the lure out the ‘Wak-wak’ birds during the night.

Visitors will be able to picnic at the scenic Jeram Tengkek which is a short distance from Homestay Laman Bangkinang. Here, bicycle also provided for visitors to ride around the village.

 

2. FBEST Homestay

Located in Serting Hilir, Jempol, F’Best Homestay focus on agro-tourism. Host families participating in the homestay program are FELDA pioneer setters. Although many of the houseshave undergone changes, the unique tradition is still apparent especially as indicated by the decor as well as the hospitality of the locals.

Visitors will be served a welcome drink named ‘Air Jando Pulang’ which is a speciality of Negeri Sembilan’s homestays.

Visitors have a variety of activities to keep them busy such as fishing for the ‘Puyu’ fish, rubber tapping, harvesting the oil-palm fruit and ‘Petanque’. Fresh water fish cooked in Negeri Sembilan is an essential dish to be served to the visitors of this homestay.

4. Pelegong Homestay

pelegongLocated a mere 16 km from Seremban town. Homestay Pelegong is the kampong homestay established in Negeri Sembilan. The first attraction if this homestay is the emphasis in Malay culture as well as the beauty of natural suroundings.

Each visitor will receive a warm welcome by the homestay family. During the fruit season, visitors will be able to savour the delicious local fruits. During their stay, visitors are served with the Negeri Sembilan famed cuisine namely the ‘ Masak Lemak Cili Padi’- a hot dist birds eye’s chilies with coconut milk.

Negeri Sembilan 2010 Cultural Carnival

What’s the buzz???
- Cultural show from Brazil, Africa, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia etc and also from Sabah and Sarawak.
- Almost 700 participants.
- Negeri Sembilan very own show and martial art performance.
- One of Citrawarna Malaysia 2010 program.
- 15000 expected crowd.

I got two VIP tickets for opening and closing ceremony. Don’t bored your eyes, just come and enjoy the show.

Baso Nogoghi lesson II

Mencicit – fast, speedy
Baso : Mencicit Karim lari kono koja dek anjing.
Malay : Laju Karim lari dikejar anjing.
English : Karim run as fast as he can

Ongap – breath, breathing, gulp of air, inhalation 
Baso : Karim lari sampai tak cukup ongap eh.
Malay : Karim lari sampai tak cukup nafas.
English : The run makes Karim breath heavily.

Poie – go, going, gone
Baso : Kau nak poie mano?
Malay : Kau nak pergi mana?
English : Where are you going?

Baso nogohi is local dialect mainly used by native citizens. It’s originally came from Kingdom of Pagaruyung at West Sumatra. While the original Bahasa Minangkabau is far more different from Malay language, the modern one is recognised by replacing vocal ‘a’ and ‘e’ with ‘o’ in some word. For example bahasa (bahaso/language), besar (bosa/big), kecik (kocik/small) etc.

eden / ese / dayan – I, me, my, mine (pronoun)
Baso : Namo eden Karim.
Malay : Nama saya Karim.
English : My name is Karim.

pundung – small hut
Baso : Disobabkan hujan, Karim bertoduh kek pundung tu.
Malay : Disebabkan hujan, Karim berteduh di pondok kecil itu.
English : Because of rainy day, Karim took a shelter in the small hut.

baieh – throw
Baso : Kepalo Karim bongkak sobab kono baieh dongan batu.
Malay : Kepala Karim bengkak sebab dibaling dengan batu.
English : The swelling on Karim’s head is because of the stone thrown at him.

Salam 1 Negeri Sembilan

Hi all,

First and foremost I would like to say please forgive my English. I will used English in all my writing and I really hope that readers, locally and globally (perhaps) can understand what I try to convey.
