Ijan's Burger

Seem its like forever since my last update due to lack of free time and limited resources at my disposal (and an xbox, fifa11, php coding and bla bla bla). Now I'm back, slow and steady to bring you readers some more info about my lovely Negeri Sembilan.

Actually, I often go to Ijan's Burger whenever I have the crave for burgers but always forgot to snap a picture because of the hunger. At last, I was able to endure it and here it goes for your viewing pleasure.

For locals it always easy to choose Ijan's over MacD anytime for many reasons. Located at housing area ensure there's always pack in here especially during Ramadhan.

Here you can try deer?(rusa), rabbit, ostrich burgers and oblongs instead of normal chicken and beef. Their Roti John is also 1 of the fans favorite.

Big and bigger kichen to accomodate ever increasing customer.

Ijan's also have mamak's next to and it make sure you have more and more variety menu to choose for and also offer a place to hangup (till morn though).

They also have unique queing system (which only they who knows it) to make sure that every customer get their order in reasonable and organized time.

There's no need to say lot since Warung Kita (an Astro program) has reviewed them before and lots of blog have already post an entry about them. Its not killed to have 1 more review right??

Kuih Udang Alor Gajah

I used to live in Johol and the nearest town to hang up with is Tampin. This one is my favourite when I go there. Now, whenever I go to Tampin I will make sure to stop here and reminisce the good time.

Located at Arked Mara Tampin, in between the bus terminal and Tampin Square as the signboard can be spotted easily by passerby.

They also offer clean and visible food stall as we can see how the prepared the menu.

The kuih udang is not alone in the plate. It also accompanied by tempe, bean curd, bean sprout, chicken and what make it super duper delicious is the sauce.

I still dont know the origin of this Kuih Udang actually. Judging from the name, it's easy to say that this is from Malacca. I'll try to do some more research about this and will update it later. As for now, enjoy the pic!!!

Ayam Panggang Kenyalang

This one my favourite menu especially when my mum decide to relieve herself from cooking. It tooks about 5 minutes drive from my home to reach here, quite near isn't it? Ayam Panggang Kenyalang Seremban branch is located at Jalan Seremban – Pantai near the Singgahsana Resipi previously written here.

There’s not much of choice here, but I can guarantee you. Their niche is the best.

While you waiting for the food to be served you can watch how they prepare the grilled chicken.

Singgahsana Resepi

Located at Jalan Pantai (Seremban – Jelebu), Singgahsana Resepi (recipe) is newly opened restaurant worth to try to.

 
Spacious car park are available although I’m not sure that it is belong to the restaurant or not.

 
If you can see there’re car wash and Petronas station nearby for those who wish to wash their car while enjoying the meal or pump their gas after eating.

 
There’re also fruit stall here if you want to take home some tropical fruit.

 
And here are the menu. There are western and asian cuisine to be pick. FYI, western food also served here as early as noon rather than after 3 pm like other restaurant.

Organized by Ministry of International Trade and Industry, this showcase is perhaps the best hub to promote entrepreneurs products and services. It also held in order to expose the potential and quality of 1 Daerah 1 Industri / 1 District 1 Industry (SDSI) products and to create business chain between entrepreneur and traders.

Homestay

1. Bengkinang Homestay

Located in Kampung Tapak, Kuala Pilah, this homestay is famous for the local youths’ presentation of Randai, Rentak Kuda, Cak Lempong as well as traditional dancers. These are complimented by the ‘Tarian Sewang’ presented by the Aboriginal community. Visitors have the ‘Panglima Manggis’ floating stage. Visitors have the opportunity to participate in the traditional games of ‘Kelereng’, ‘Tarik Upih’ or the lure out the ‘Wak-wak’ birds during the night.

Visitors will be able to picnic at the scenic Jeram Tengkek which is a short distance from Homestay Laman Bangkinang. Here, bicycle also provided for visitors to ride around the village.

 

2. FBEST Homestay

Located in Serting Hilir, Jempol, F’Best Homestay focus on agro-tourism. Host families participating in the homestay program are FELDA pioneer setters. Although many of the houseshave undergone changes, the unique tradition is still apparent especially as indicated by the decor as well as the hospitality of the locals.

Visitors will be served a welcome drink named ‘Air Jando Pulang’ which is a speciality of Negeri Sembilan’s homestays.

Visitors have a variety of activities to keep them busy such as fishing for the ‘Puyu’ fish, rubber tapping, harvesting the oil-palm fruit and ‘Petanque’. Fresh water fish cooked in Negeri Sembilan is an essential dish to be served to the visitors of this homestay.

3. Lonek Homestay

Located in Jempol, Negeri Sembilan, Homestay Lonek is surrounded by paddy field and clear streams of culture activities included the chanting and singing of Marhaban, Berzanji and Berendoi to the musical accompaniment rendered by the village’s own cultural group. House in this homestay retain their traditional features.

This kampong, a winner of the K-Bestari (smart village) Awards, boast of its own premises for the production of breads, noodles, bean-curd, soy sauce and tempe (fermented soya beans). Visitors will be able to visit this premises.

4. Pelegong Homestay

Located a mere 16 km from Seremban town. Homestay Pelegong is the kampong homestay established in Negeri Sembilan. The first attraction if this homestay is the emphasis in Malay culture as well as the beauty of natural suroundings.

  

Each visitor will receive a warm welcome by the homestay family. During the fruit season, visitors will be able to savour the delicious local fruits. During their stay, visitors are served with the Negeri Sembilan famed cuisine namely the ‘ Masak Lemak Cili Padi’- a hot dist birds eye’s chilies with coconut milk.

 
They will be entertained by a musical rendition of ‘Cak Lempong’. Outdoor-oriented visitor will be able to go jungle-tracking in Hutan Lipur Galla. Visitor will be get the opportunity to learn how to make local handicraft such as cane.

 
After visitor have traveled through the kampung, they will find the Jeram Tebrau waterfall refreshingly ‘immigrating’. At the end of their stay, visitors are bid farewell with a gift comprising local delicacies in a locally-made container as a taken of appreaciation as well as a moments of his stay.

5. Gemas Homestay

Homestay Gemas comprises 4 kampungs located close together namely Kg. Londah, Kg. Ulu Ladang, Kg. Ladang and Kg. Bangkahulu.

Tourist attractors include the historical remains of afort (Tugu Peringatan Sg. Kelamah), the Tuah-Tun Teja pass, scenic paddy fields and beautiful handicrafts.

This homestay also make available traditional delicacies as ‘Kuih Tat Seberang’ and pure wild honey too the tempt the testbuds of the visitors.

A camp site by the river is located at this homestay facilities at the Danau Kubang camp site by the Sungai Muar include a changing room, futsal court and the open hall.
