State Flag

Yellow represent The King, D.Y.M.M Yang diPertuan Besar.
Red Triangle represent the citizen of the state.
Black Triangle represent the territorial ruling chief (Undang Luak).

State Crest
9 rice stalk and 9–pointed star in the crest represent the combination of nine states in Negeri Sembilan.
Red colour in the crest represent British past connection.
Black colour represent the territorial ruling chief (Undang Luak).
Yellow colour represent The King.
Sword and the scabbard is the symbol of justice.
Changgai Putri between the sword and the scabbard is the greatness of symbol of the King.
